DeComp Time'r disconnect ?
11/24/08 at 10:02:42

I want to do away with as much wiring as possible, why cant I just hook the decomp up to the starter button so as soon as the starter hits it also opens the decomp at the same time ?
Anyone here done that and done away with the timer boxes ?

Decomp only engages for some tiny amount of time. 0.2 secs? Not sure, but if I wanted rid of wiring, Id make the decomp manual.

I would but if I stall it at a main intersection will it restart in a hurry if I cant reach the lever for it ?

Convert it to a manual throw like the old Enduro's.  They had/have a little thumb lever on the left handle grip.

If you have a early model without the torque limiting intermediate gear in the starter path, then it would also help when shutting down.
