More winterizing the rider tips:
There are times when you don't want to wear chaps for whatever reason. I found a pair of flannel lined jeans for $25 here:

I wasn't cold at all, but my speed topped at only 45 mph riding the coast, so for highway riding, I would probably go for leather. Gonna order another pair of these jeans.

Sweaters & shirts. Wool is good. Not made in Asia is even better. I bought two of these wool sweaters made in the Netherlands:

Choose you favorite scarf and face mask or balaclava, and you're good to ride.
