When out riding for the sake of it, me too. It is also my commuter bike, my shopping bike, etc.. and sometimes I need to know what time it is without trying to dig my watch out of my sleeve or push buttons to change screens.
The Vapor gives me the 3 essentials (for me) on the screen at the same time. Speed, Time, Trip Meter (gas gauge)

I don't understand. Vapor or Veypor? Please, can we at least spell them right so I know which one is being talked about?
They both have Shift lights. They both have dashboard options for indicator lights.

on the more expensive model..

Water proof is another thing, planning on riding thru a lake?
My Vapor has been wet a few times (it is not easily removeable, like the Veypor), and has not sufferred. Of course, I try to remember to keep it covered if rain is expected.
It still comes down to this:
Veypor - more expensive, more features.
If it has things you need or want, then go for it.
If those features are not important to what you want it for, then get something cheaper.
For me, the Vapor was the better choice.
