Ron Ayers is my "local" dealer about 35 miles away.  I have spells of going to Greneville alot, then I do not go at all.  Thankfully, this is one of the times I am not going much.  I undoubtedly could have found a reason to go, if they had my parts.

I am just waiting, waiting, waiting.

Great Big WOO HOO!!  My parts came today and it took all of 15 minutes to put the petcock in, the tank and seat back on and get going again.  Really was simple, when I had all the parts.

Again, I appreciate all the input and direction.  Thanks again to savagespence for the vacuum cap for the carb.

It is good to be on the road again!

Thanks

Hello anyone that is interested

Someone asked about how much gas is left when you turn the raptor petcock to reserve.  I was able to ride my bike today for the first real time, other that just around town.  Before I made it to town, I ran out of gas, so I switched to reserve.  I was about four miles from the gas station and it took 2.49 gallons to fill the tank.  So I am guessing when I switch to reserve, I have about .4.  That is enough to go about 20 miles, I would be guessing and hoping.

This was the first time I ran out with this petcock, I usually try to get gas when I get to 100 miles (thanks to someone, I read this on the forum).  But with the repairs, draining the tank, not getting to the station and wanting to know about how much was left when I hit reserve I knew the gas was low.

I guess this is the last post for this thread.  Thanks again to everyone that helped, offered advice or simply grunted for me.

Mike
