New Sportster seat installed!
11/03/08 at 15:33:04
Here's a couple of pics of my new 2 piece Sportster pillow top seat. I am now a good 4 inches taller, and it seems a little better on my knees. I made some skirts from vinyl runner material you put on stairs to fill in the gaps underneath the seat (still need some tweaks on those). I also made my own brackets and a stainless steel plate for the sissy bar pad.
I'll post pics of my brackets and some of the process in the technical section Sportster seat mod thread to help out others.
I got this seat off eBay for $50, it was listed as a 'new take off' so I have no idea as to the year.

I am about 5 foot 11 - yes it is very comfortable! I haven't gone for more than a 30 minute ride yet though. I am anxious to get the opinion of a passenger because the rear seat HAS to be more comfy than the stock one!
