About a week ago i realized that i had been riding without an airfilter for my savage. It went at least 300 miles without one (I don't know how long the owner before me w as riding without it).

Anyhow, i decided i should do some cleanup work since it tends to get a little dusty down here in Texas.

Took my carb apart, bathed all the parts in carb cleaner. After i pulled all my stuff out after a day of soaking i realized that the carb has 2 rubber seals on either side of the throttle plate (on the outside).

I DIDN'T SEE THEM!!!

They were both swollen to massive proportions.  Went to the dealership to see if i could get some..... and sure enough..... I have to buy a whole new carburetor to get them!

500 bucks?? i sure hope not.

I need help, does anyone have a trashed carb that i could use for parts, anyone know if an o-ring would work? I need help. I fear i have destroyed my motorcycle.

What rubber seals exactly are you talking about? I got two carb bodies that I can cannibalize for you if you can give me exactly what you are looking for.

what is this "Lancers kit"?

is the kit actually worth the money? more power, torque, etc?
