can't get my oil drain bolt out

Please help. I ahve 2300 miles on my Suzi. Stealershiip did first oil change(service). Was going to drain and refill the oil tonight. the only "bolt i found that was close to the pictorial and clymer's online was a stud that was blue glued (permatexed) to a 14 mm hex nut. Could not break the nut free. My suzi is an 07. There is a rim between the hex and the threads and that's why i think it's a stud with a nut. all the other bolts look likethey mount the engine to the frame or are the kickstand mounting bolts.

The plug is in a cavity near the center of the bike between the tubes of the frame just behind the kick stand.

should be a 14mm bolt. put your head down behind the front wheel, you might be able to see it that way. you sure as L not going to see it from underneath the kickstand.

Take the box end of the wrench and put it on the plug, with the other end towards the front wheel as high as you can get it. push down to break it loose.

Sure a dealership might do that. A person with an IQ over 40, opposible thumbs, blood alcohol under 0.15% and able to fog a mirror would never do it. Grin

Here's a picture I just took from my bike that should make it clear. This is looking from the front of the bike back to the rear. It's kinda tucked behind the frame. I laid the camera under the bike and shot the exact bolt.

My feeling is that my oil plugs have come out more easily when the engine is hot (rather than warm or cold). I suspect the oil pan threads are more flexible when hot so they are less likely to be damaged - but I don't know much about metals.

Heat and "Liquid Wrench" penetrating oil and rapping are the first things are I try, when removing a stiff bolt. A propane torch can help but make sure you don't set something important on fire. The Liquid Wrench is probably useless but it can't hurt.

When your plug comes out, inspect it for bad threads or damage. Don't reuse it if not perfect.

Hey where can I get a magnetic oil plug? If I stick 1-2 of my tiny "rare-earth" magnets on the end of my original plug, would that be good enough to attract iron bits? I don't think there's any other magnetic metals near the plug but not sure.

Here is a link to the type of magnet http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.4248 that I am talking about, maybe 10mm would work also - they are used for spacing out and sticking flashlight batteries together while maintaining electrical contact.

Dont use MY description, look at his pictures.
