Bike Stalling

So, I'm riding to work today and I can't keep my bike running. It keeps stalling. Even when I was doing about 40mph. It felt like it was jerking. I had to keep my throttle open all the time. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I'd start with:
Check air filter & clean it if needed.
Check fuel flow from petcock to carb and check your vacuum line for cracks, splits, etc.
Check spark plug for fouling
Check idle speed screw
Check carb slide for smooth operation
If you don't know how to do any of these things let us know.
