Carb lines go where?
09/29/08 at 12:56:19

I have the manual and am pretty good at following schematics and breakdowns, but this doesn't give you much to work with.  Rather than trial and ERROR it I figured I would become a member and ask the experts.  I took the carb off to clean and thought I could remember where everything went. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Iam calling the hoses 1,2 on the choke side and 3,4,and 5 on  the other going from top to bottom left to right, on the petcock lets call em A and   B top to bottom

On Carb,
- Vents, two smaller brass little pipes pointing diagonally up & back towards the seat, one each side,  connects to two small hoses that go up into the frame (not connected to anything), unless you  have a CA model then they go to the cannister.
- Vacuum port for petcock,  brass pipe on right side (clutch side).
- Fuel inlet, brass pipe on left side ( shifter side)

On Petcock,
- pipe on side facing to the rear, is fuel out.
- pipe on back of petcock face diagonally down, is the vacuum port, connects to the right side of carb.

Thank you very much.  Glad I stumbled upon my own message.  I did not receive any message that anyone replied to my post.  I was trying to figure this out this past weekend when the site was having server problems. Now that it is back at full speed I typed carb in the search bar and my post was the second one. I apologize if there is already a post about this subject, it was just impossible to look this past weekend with pages taking 10 miinutes to load.

I must have the CA model cause there are 5 ports 2 on left and 3 on right. Since I live in TN is there anything I can do to improve performance by removing this canister?

I apologize one more time for not understanding but all the ports look to be a copperish brass color. I got the left side, one is fuel and other is going to canister. The right side, is a little foggy they are all similar in size.
