Show me your Savage Handlebar modifications.

I want to change the stock handlebars to something more interesting.  Please show me your modifications, and tell me something about them.  Such as where you bought your handlebars or other items on the handlebars and why you decided to change things.

Thanks!   Smiley

I have a 96 Savage with drag bars from Debrix Cycle and I love them...

I did make 1" riser with a little help from Strangeling.  The riser could be a tad higher, but will do for now...

PM me for info on the risers...

Great mod!  That's close to what I had in mind.  Tell me though, is the riding position reasonably comfortable?  Also, did you have to modify the brake and throttle cables or the clutch hose?

Ten inch mini apes bought from my local Harley dealership. No special mods required, just re-routed a couple of cables. (That was before I put on the girder of course, with the girder I had to change up the front brake.)

No tach. That is a coffee can pretending to be a speedometer housing.

I didn't have to change out the cables.  I just tucked the extras behind the head light and secured them with a zip tie.

The position is great, although I did raise the front of the seat 1.5 inches (seat mod) which helped a lot.  I am 5'7" (on a good day) and the new bars fit great.

The bike does handle differently in the corners, not bad mind you, just different.

Easy mod, very different look...more to my style.

Kryhavoc - how do you like those handlebars?  I have the S40 straight bars and feel like I am reaching waaaaaaay out all the time.
Ride safe,

I went with drag bars and made risers out of BMX bicycle footpegs.

No threads, just a hole.  I cut them down about an inch  and ran longer bolts through.
