If he gradually increases the throttle (but don't go past half way) then it is ok.
Has a miss at very high rpm around 70+ mph (tune up?).

Citgolf04, I had a very similar problem with a car...
It would cough, spit and virtually die out any time I "stomped" on the gas, but if I "spoon fed" then it would do OK until about half throttle.
It turned out, after A LOT of investigation, that one of the rubber manifolds was cracked (on the underside, so you couldn't see it until after takedown and inspection)...
...so, cracked rubber manifold, air would seep in with throttle too open, and fuel starvation (too much air, in proportionally too little fuel) would cause the problem.
A cinch to fix, it's possibly the little rubber manifold that joins the carburator to the engine intake.
Replace that and you're a happy man!
Of course, it's my suggestion, I hope it helps !
