franch Senior Member Offline I love YaBB 1G - SP1! Posts: 287	fuel in oil 09/08/08 at 08:05:46 Ok I am confused about how gasoline can leak past the bowl into the crankcase. I have been running my savage with the petcock on prime while i await a new petcock. i haven't been shutting off the petcock figuring the carb float does the job of stopping excess fuel. what are peoples thoughts ?

Some fuel will evaporate and if the inletvalve is open the fuel can leak past the piston ring into the crankcase. This may sound silly but has happened to some (on this forum)

I done got them all worked up over texting and exploding rear tires. They will likely be downright unruly for a while .... jest ignore 'em.

I'm going back to the mountains in October when they shut my plant down for another week of unvolunteered vacation.

Mountains will be BEAUTIFUL, pace will be sedated (valium, I suspect)
