Underseat Storage?
09/03/08 at 12:22:35

I'm hoping this question has not been asked...I tried a search...so forgive me if I've missed it.
Does my 2003 have underseat storage?  I looked online and something stated that the 2004 does, but I have breifly consluted my MOM and I've looked alot but I can't find it.
What do others do with papers like insurance and registration cards that is secure yet always on the bike?
Thanks!!!

No storage under the seat, you could put the paper in the tool box holder.

Highly suspected that was the case.  That's how it is with a no-frills bike...and a-ok.
Toolbox should work.  Thanks!!!

SavageGirl, I recommend a small tool bag for your forks. And laminate your paperwork cuz things can get wet. Bag is big enough for papers and extra goggles and etc.

Dj12midnit:  Where does it go? Where did you get it?

doc5446:  I have considered a toolbag (in addition to getting saddlebags), but how do you keep those important papers secure...   Also, I never thought about laminating them, thanks for the tip!!!

KWKaletta:  Cool idea!  I totally understand the whole changing things around bit... I'm shuffling between a bookbag, purse and my car- (and constantly missing things) Argh!!!

Thanks everyone! So many great ideas!!!

It's called the Grifter and goes behind the license plate. They run about $20. http://www.cruisercustomizing.com/detail.cfm?Category_ID=110&manufacturer_ID=...

Until I come up with a better solution, I placed my registration papers in a ziplock bag and put them in the built in tool box.  I keep the OEM tools in there more for space filler than anything because those tools are only good for causing bloody knuckles and raising my blood pressure.

Nice little box. I added saddlebags last week so storage and hauling should not be a problem now.

Do you guys realize that, once someone has your motorcycle and registration, they can sell the bike in what appears to be legal transaction and run with the money. Not to mention, they have all your personal info.

This is my concern.... what do you do with your reg. and ins. information Motokid?  Do you constantly keep it on you?

What do others do???

Um, in OH, it takes a notarized title to get a new title for a vehicle so it depends on what your local laws are.

That being said, I carry my registration in my wallet.

Yeah, you definitely need a copy of the title. Ever tried to get to DMV to issue a replacement title? Kind of a pain. I'm not too concerned about that one happening.
