Just saying hello!

Hey all,

My wife has owned an '86 LS650 for about a year and a half now, and I loved riding it so much that I just had to go out and get my own. Mines a '96 that I got from a nice lady who has babied it all its life and winterized it every year.

Fabulous bike. Super-clean. Color is bright yellow.

Glad to have found a home online for fellow "Savage" riders.

Hi there J-Snap. ... Hello from the East Coast and welcome to the forum. Sounds like a nice bike you've acquired.. You will find all you need to know and more about your Savage, on this forum. I always thought yellow was a cool color for the Savage.

Count me in for a yellow one too.  Y2K.  Yellow and black make for a good combination.

Just bought a 96 bright yellow with 5127 miles on it. Couldn't pass up for only 1200 dollar including a new 3/4 helmet with new shield and an extra brand new battery. Only thing wrong is the 9" Tweety Bird airbrushed on the tank staring at my crotch. Over the winter I'll redo the tank a put an EGA on it with my unit crest. Yesterday was also my first official day riding, ever.

As a person who grew up steeped in classic Warner Brother's and Looney Tunes, I beg you, please don't hurt the Ttweety Bird!  :'(

I am thinking you could sell the bird tank and just buy a new one. No reason to wast good artwork.
