Whoa. nice coincidence there. I bought my '01 in march with 8505 on it and rolled over 13k two days ago.

When I bought mine (see signature) it had 50 miles on it and had been sitting in a tool shed in Houston for a year.

After a thorough carb cleaning, it ran great.

I don't own a cage, but have two big road bikes. So, I use the Savage for around town duties.

So far, so good. I ride mine year round, in all types of weather. It has 9000 miles on it now.

I can't think of a better urban bike.
