read on a tips and tricks site that the discoloration in the exhaust pipe up near the cylinder to the bluish purple color it means youre running lean?

i wanted to get some blue job to make sure it was chrome color again but that doesnt help if the bike is running lean...?
there is a small poot of a pop lightly when i cut the bike off...

seems it is running lean.....
yes i will get the blue job to fix the color but looks like the carb will need fixing also..
