Gas tank wiggles? (Read 127 times)

savageguy YaBB Newbies Offline Newb Posts: 40	Gas tank wiggles? 07/30/08 at 08:23:45 Got another "Is this normal?" question... A trickle of gas got on my tank the other day when I was filling up. I went to wipe it off and noticed the tank has a little bit of wiggle left-right. I've never seen any leaks, never had any problems, but should I get at the connections and tighten something or is this normal for some reason?

Reply #4 - 08/02/08 at 13:35:50 mine did that and i found i lost one of the rubber grommets on the frame. it's circular and about 1 inch in diameter that the tank slides onto. pull the tank off and see if it's there. there is one on each side.

Wear a full face helmet,that realy cuts down on the noise.

I wear earplugs with my half helmet.

Mines a bit loose on the front mount under the seat, but nothing I'm too worried about. Check and tighten as needed, its good for more than just the tank.
