Larger tire pressure question??
07/08/08 at 15:47:51

My stock rear tire gave it up at 8200 miles (aided by a pallet nail).Went with a 140/90-15 Shenko. Liked it so well that I swapped the front out early to get a matching pair. Went with a 110/90-19 front Shenko. Bike is much more stable on the freeway and sits on 70-75 with ease. Some post here have said the bigger front tire would clear the fender but I couldn't even get the tire on much less have any clearance. Will craft some extended mounts to put the fender back on. Big question for those that run the bigger tire, Do you stay with the factory tire pressues or do you run a few pounds lower?? Have played around with the pressure a little but a little anxious not to get 'outside the box'. Thanks for any input. Will update my picture this weekend. Much better camera and download at work!!

Must be the heat, it's a 110/90 on the front.

I didn't run a front fender on mine.I think that's why it didn't handle so good,I actually ran mine a little higher pressure because of it.

On the same subject does any white walls fit the Savage with out mods?  I have done my research and couldn't find a match.  I think the thick white walls would look sweet on my bike.  Really give it that old school look.
