I love this forum!!

I've never broken open the controls enough to see if they are soldered in or not

I guess this is so some HD owners can install the wires on the inside of the bars. We are so industrius though, our wires are always on the outside.

Chock one up to the Harley engineers to have to use indented bars rather than taking a small piece out of the control. Silly engineers.
