well my second batteries plus agm battery died after a week(first one lasted about the same)..luckily
we had just pulled into durango and was able to find a suzi shop..
bad batch from B.P. ? i was playing my stereo(3 amp load) with the engine off for less than ten minutes..handle bar mounted volt meter shows charging at idle and above..the ls (mine)wont run with a dead battery..we jumped it off got running but couldnt get above 2k rpm w/o cutting out??new battery in, made it back to farmington and yesterday back home..
so i learned dont run the stereo with the engine off tho my math tells me i should be able to for an hour and still have enuff reserve for starting..i dont get it...

replaced w/ what the suzi dealer had this is my second BP agm in a month will put on charger while home 4 lunch and will see after work .got a digi tech get two green lights on led volt meter a 1240 rpm so have set idle there any lower or higher rpms only one green light..vm range = 2 reds 8> 10 v,2 ambers 10 >12 v,2 green 13 >14v,one red over 15v
bad batch from BP ???any ever heard such???

I am no expert so take this for what it is worth. Listen to Verslagen and others before me.

The home charging sounds like something a friend of mine had happen. Big amp draw from the charger and the battery was dead soon after. I asked him to start charging it again when I got there and he had reversed the polarity each time so basically the battery was toast. You seem smarter than that but worth mentioning. Red is positive, black is negative. Wink

According to another friend who works at a dealership he has never in 20 years seen a battery arrive from a supplier bad so that would be a long shot. Might happen I suppose but I would look elsewhere for the cause.

The bigcrank pair in the '95 and '02 seem to be solid - no flickers unless the idle is too low - no self discharge that I can tell

Ride nearly every day.
