Posts: 565 Kingston, Ontario, Canada Gender:	Pre '05 fender struts and backrest on post '05 S40 06/18/08 at 08:00:00 Has anyone installed the 2004 and earlier fender struts with attached backrest onto a 2005-2007 S40. I was wondering if it is just a bolt on and whether it would interfere with the newer 2005-2007 seat.

It's an option you can buy from Suzuki. (ebay is cheaper) Note: With the backrest on the one piece seat is a bit interesting to get off.

make sure you check the bolts, I put a backrest strut (Ebay) on my 05 ad the bolts were too long (the stock struts were thicker). I didnt think anything of it till I took my daughter for a spin and the bolts had scared my new rear tire. The tire is larger than stock, so it might not be an issue if your rear tire is stock, but maybe down the road......
