S-40 would not start!
06/16/08 at 17:28:01

Alright I feel like a fool!! I know I've read on these forums about this happening before, but today it happened to me!! I rode my bike to work today and went out at quitting time to ride home and the bike would not start. Dead battery, I figured. A couple of my work buddies were still there so I got them to push me across the parking lot, well after about 10 minutes of pushing back and forth one buddy says check your kill switch, guess what? I never use the kill switch but somehow it got flipped, reset it and started right up!! I felt like a real dummy, but learned a valuable lesson, it will not happen again!!Sammy.

Thanks for sharing your story.  Made me chuckle.  I've done the same myself, but with no witnesses!  Cheesy

I did almost the same recently, bike shut off in mid ride, sat on the side of the road for about 20 minutes thinking it was broke, started pushing it home and then, ding ding ding, check the fuel reserve, problem solved. I was so frustrated thinking something broke that I never thought I was low on gas. live and learn.

My 13 year old son has gotten into the habit of picking on his father (me).  He's been secretly switching the kill switch.   I'm wise to him now.  Wink

Wonder what he's planning next......

Very cruel and easy joke to play on someone. Have heard of this before.  Grin When my wife first got her Scooter, I told her to always check the cut-off switch when she gets on it. Easy for someone to walk by and hit it.

Bought a relay at Auto-zone.  Plan on making a bypass when the neutral light is on the switch is bypassed.   My two Honda's had it that way.
