I've enjoyed watching the progression of your Fire lizard. So forgive my ignorance, but is there a front brake I see up there? Or do you just not have one.
It is a mini drum, as rigidchop said, not much for stopping or holding a hill but it does suffice for slowing down.

Coming together nicely, any idea on the paint yet?
Not yet, still getting a few more mods done. Installed bullet front signals today and relocated speedo. (by the way GT750 tach cable IS the correct cable for speedo relocate)

The girder springer is fn "A". I like it a lot. It's hard to tell from the pictures but did it raise the front of the bike up from stock due to it's length? If so did it effect how the oil level appears in the sight window?

It raised it I would say about an inch, the bike leans further over now on the kickstand. oil site glass seems to be unaffected in reading oil level but I will have to confirm that.

Thanks a ton... or at least a gallon
for the final determination on that fact. It puts me one step closer to using the GZ-250 tank on 99 Savage #2.
I've decided that bike is going to get the chain conversion and a windshield along with the new tires awaiting install. That extra gallon should be good for at least 50-60 miles on the highway.

How about... mother-of-pearl grey...
Dub the Firel Lizard a ... Greyhound...
Or "Battleship grey" hmmm... now, who was that dude with a blown bentley, back in 1050's Monte Carlo, with a blown Bentley, a vodka Martini (shaken, not stirred) and the perennial sig butt dangling from the corner of his mouth?
The Moneypenny Moocher ???

Posted a little bit better play by play on installing the front end in the tech section. I will try to get some more pics of the salient points as soon as I can to illustrate some of the things I mentioned.
