If you were going to buy a set today where would you get them? I finally got the little women to authorize the purchase of new shocks, so I need to hurry before she changes her mind.

I got my shocks from Dennis Kirk.  They had them in stock and shipped in 2 days.  Price was $260.00 with shipping, which I know is a little high.  But they have a very liberal return policy.

I have the 11.5 " 4236C's on my bike since just before Christmas. I wish I had gone with a lighter spring. I was at 326 lbs but now down to 265. Have them on the lightest setting and they are almost as stiff as the stock ones. The bike feels much better in the wind and better stability in corners for sure. That kick back to your tail bone is still there on pot holes and man hole covers etc. I believe I would get the standard springs for sure unless you are going to be riding 2 up or hauling extra weight.

I have the 11 inch 412-4233c and at 175 pounds I think there to light of spring I use the 3rd and 4 th reload. I think just right for me would have been about 10 pounds heavier springs, then I could use 1 or 2 preload.

Ok I finally got the shocks delivered on Friday. Got up this morning and put them on. Was a little like work since I had no way to get the rear tire off the ground, I had to have the wife lift the bike while I put the shocks on. once they were on we jump on and took a ride to the races. nice ride. Now I will have to lower the preload and see how it feels with just me on it.
