Irony would state that it was a not stick coating of some sort, since it seems to cause more problems than it solves.

It wears off with enough slides back & forth with dirty air particles, etc sticking around to enhance the wear action. Such is life with a CV carb. They work worse & worse the older they get. I've never bothered to see if it is available in stores.

Reply #18 - 06/03/08 at 17:22:29 i sanded mine off with a green scratch pad. was contemplating buying a new slide, but figured it couldnt do any harm. none of my other bikes ever had any type of coating, although the amals on my old triumph couldve used it
