Thank you, FreeSpirit. I'm pretty happy with it. I finally got the back seat covered, too. It'll rarely be seen with the trunk on it, but I thought they should kind of match.
In looking at various bike setups, I see that the saddle bags hang very close to the muffler. I guess I haven't stuck my face down there to find out, but I would think there'd be a lot of heat in that area. Does one need to consider that? Is there a minimum distance recommended between the muff and your goodies? I don't want to end up with melted elastic in my "Thank You" (SW) spares.
Plus, if I get clever and build my own bags, I should probably know how far away from the pipe to keep them.
