Chrome Engine Head Covers
05/25/08 at 13:35:49

I decided to take off my chrome engine head covers today and i had a question about the front left bolt in the head. Is there any way to get that bolt out easily? Do i just have to cut it out or do most of you wait till you pull the head plate off? Thanks for the help.

Tie it place with a wire or cut the head of the bolt off with a abrasive cut off wheel.

comes off with the head cover.

I just put a couple of chrome spacers in there and left the bolt in place. Makes people ask "What's that for?" I just tell them "It's the hoo da doo tata for the fogerty bevel for when I replaced the anna canna poona."

I just replaced it with a shorter bolt.  For a while I didn't have a bolt in there at all and I was leaking oil out the side.
