Dumb question No. 300

Before the question....I had noticed a little tire wear on the left of center on the front.  Thinking maybe the forks were out I took it to the local dealer.  He said this wear was normal on cruisers due to the way roads rise and fall from the middle.  Told him I would ride on the other side the wrong way to even it out.  Now the question....Please explain to me what the bolt is for located on the right side of the head just below the cover. (that's a question?)

Thanks Smiley

That bolt holds part of the cam tensioning mechanism...please don't take it out...the cam adjuster won't work and you'll flumox your engine.

And in the UK, ours wear on the right of centre - again due to road camber!

It's not just a cruiser issue though, it happens on sports bikes too and is more noticeable if they're riden gently and upright, just less so if they're pushed hard because the tires then wear on the outer edges first.

So, the lesson to be taken from this is to ride your bike like you stole it!
