Springer Front End
04/27/08 at 12:52:53

Hi all - my Savage is starting to go back together - thanks to info from this site. Hopefully, I will be able to post some pics soon. Anyway, once its back on the road I intend to pick up another frame and have it hardtailed and, if I can find one - a Springer front end.

Does nyone out there have any experience or recommendations for a springer setup?

Cheers

Darren

If your looking for spring... I would only recomend Paughco. They are the best of the  best and you can pick them up at a good price. you should be able to pick one up and the length you need. If money is a concern. Try looking at the salvage yard for one and refirbish it to what you want!

if yer gonna go for a springer paughco is a good choice, the price however isn't, around 1500 smackers, would end up costing more than the bike is worth. adding into the cost a new front wheel, and brake set up. DNA springers are another story, they run around 300 bucks on ebay.

Ive never been a big fan of DNA frontends, but for the money they are not to shabby! I picked up my Paughco relatively cheap so I have no complaints! Oh, you may be able to use the front brak thats on it, but you will have find a brace tht works with it. Chances are they don't and you can make your own. Its what I did. or you can buy a new wheel, rotor, brake, mount, the works!
