Charging Battery
04/17/08 at 13:28:20

The battery looks like a pig to remove, just done some exploratory surgury!

On my savage, in the Tool Compartment, there is a Connector that looks like it is directly connected to the battery.
The +ve has an in line fuse and the other wire looks like it goes to the -ve

If this is Standard, what should it be used for, if it is to connect a Charger? I have a suitable unit but not the matching connector, so

Q1 is it suitable to charge?
Q2 has the connector a name so I can source another connector to match to my Optimate?

if 1 is yes I could always change the connector but I want to keep as near as "stock" as I can
Cheers

not stock but sounds like a trickle charger pigtail - can you get a picture?

cheers, if its not Stock, I will replace it with a suitable compatible pigtail to the Optimate, or get a new one for the "Cickle"

Now to get the Battery out!

I missed the two screws to remove the tool holder plate, last night, I put it back together as I thought I might need to remove the fuel tank!!
