What kind of jet to buy for 2005 S40.

I bought a new screamin' eagle style pipe for my bike and I wanted to upgrade the jets and air filter too.  The air filter is no problem, but I don't know what kind of performance jet is best to buy?  I found a  "LEVEL IV JET KIT FOR SUZUKI BOULEVARD S40 AND SAVAGE LS 650" on ebay, but I have no idea what that means?  That company has Level 1 to 4 jet kits and I don't want to buy the wrong one.  My first thought was just get the level 4 because you'd think that's the best, but I wanted to ask the experts first.  Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Just buy the jet kit I thru IV from lancer in the market place.

And if that don't rock your world, check out the savage store for other performance kits. Cool

Verslagen1,
Thanks, I'll check out Lancer's jets.  I'm new to the site and still feelin' my way around.  I wish I'd found this place a long time ago!

Reelthing,
That tells me that the Stage IV would have been too much because it's 157.5.  Looks like I need a Stage 1 or 2.  I'll check out Lancer's jets first and then decide.  Yes I've been an RPG programmer for many years.  I can write in VB, COBOL, SQL, etc. also, but I make my living in RPG.

157.5 is pretty dang big for a late model bike even with common k&n filter, free flow muffler changes

just curious - must be an old geezer like most of the rest of us!

anyway - lancer can send you the jets or you can rder them online - in very rare cases you'll have a motorcycle shop around that has them - some HD shops do

on that SE2 pipe and a K&N - a good place to start is with a 152.5 and the 1/2 white spacer mod to richen up the mid range - might end up with a 155 - but you'll need to tune the carb - read up on these:

Speaking of air filters, I've seen several advertised for the Savage that are cone-shaped.  Don't see how in the world that could fit on the S40?!  Granted I'm a novice and just beginning to do my own work, but it seems like trying to put a square peg in the round hole. ha

Yea, I sent him a PM about the jets and will ask the filter too when he replies.  Demin, saw your bike on another post .... NICE!  I was thinking about chrome-plating my forks but now I think I might just paint them to match the body.

Thank you. They were nicked pretty bad, that's why I painted them.If you strip the clearcoat off the forks ,the aluminum polishes up nice too.Look closely under the headlight at the bottom tree it's polished.
