Removing the front turn signals? (Read 103 times)

Reply #1 - 03/25/08 at 18:38:56 If you have a bike jack.Put the bike in the air,take off front wheel,loosen bolts on t/s clamps, take off caps on top of forks,and loosen the pinch bolt on the backside of the bottom tree,and slide forks down.Slide the clamps off.

Reply #2 - 03/25/08 at 18:42:15 If you aren't planning on saving them I took a crowbar and pried the mounting harness apart til it broke. It did take a whole lot of leverage but the broke in half and didn't damage anything. Plus it saved a whole lot of time. By the way I am only 5'00" and about 145lbs and a woman so it can't be that hard!

It's not hard to drop the forks and slip them off. I did it when I put my fork boots on. And then put them back on.

And while you got them off, install some fork boots (gaiters) on. Cool
