Where can you get the longer cables to make these work? Or do you have to make them?

I sent mine to a company called Motion-Pro they duplicated them and added the extra length I told Them. But I worked at a bike shop then.I think they only do wholesale to dealers,if you have an aftermarket bike shop near you they can get them done.Barnett's also does them. The brake hose is a universal hose they come all different lengths, you have to buy the banjos for the caliper, and master cylinder.http://w2.bikepics.com/pics/2007/09/09/bikepics-1018367-full.jpg

Some independent shops have cable making supplies right on their bench and can make whatever you (or they) need as necessary. Might be worth checking around. Fortunately none of the cables for the Savage are complex or unusual.

Note though that you may also have to splice some wires longer if you get very tall on your bars/risers.

if your bike came with buckhorns, you can go up to 8" bars and use the old throttle and clutch cable.  It takes a little re-routing and they're a little tight, but it works.  The electrical wires, on the other hand, well, I'm not sure... I ditched mine.

I have 10" z bars on mine and the stock cables fit just fine. 12"ers probably wouldn't fit though, and the z bars are fairly skinny, the distance from grip to grip, so that might've helped my cause too.
