I dumped my '06 last may and have been slowly wading through repairs.  I was wondering if there was an easy way to check to see if the front forks are bent, and also if there is way to make sure they are still aligned correctly?

Tape a piece( or tie it around the tire/wheel) of not stretchy string dead center on the front tire, out on the front of it & take the string to the end of each handle bar end. If it's not even, either the front wheel isnt centered, the handlebars arent located on center, or the forks are tweaked.
