Hey people,I need some help if you can. Can anyone tell me if there is a fuel tank that I can replace the existing tank with. I have a Ls650 2000 model. I'd like to get a little greater distance between fuel stops.

I used to get 100 miles between pit stops, but now I get 110. I just get off & push one mile after riding 10. See how much help I am??

Sorry, yea, everyone wants to ride more & pump less. Look around, use the search & hit the Tech section. There are Sportster tanks that have been installed & there are travel tanks that have been added. They are functional, I thyink easier than a tank swap & nice looking. I guess you could do both & make a distance runner out of it.

Look at Kawa's KN? tanks.

They have similar mounting requirements and some have a similar petcock.

I did a Softtail five gallon on mine. There's a lot of little things to do but nothing that's really too hard. It's written up on here somewhere, just do a search.

I also have a four gallon tank on the back. That might be the way for anyone who wants to keep the look of the stock bike. It has the advantage of being portable to the next bike if you decide to move on to something else later on. Go to

www.tourtank.com

to see a solid, well built product line. They have severl configurations and many hardware and installation fittings to choose from.
