Other than the cosmetic concern of a small amount of oil leaking onto the engine, is there any serious reason to do the 4 hour plug/cap leak repair?

just makes a mess - and if you wait long enough it won't be a small amount - when I finally got with it - looked like the battery box was being hit with a oil squart gun
