Right-side mirror question
01/21/08 at 15:36:08

Are the threads on the right-side mirror stem "regular" (CCW to loosen) or left-handed (CW to loosen)?  Mine wouldn't budge either way, and, well, using a 12" pipe-wrench didn't really make things any better.  Snapped the stem right off at the top of the holder, it did.

Before I spend $15 on a new holder, I'm gonna try a bolt extractor to get the old piece of stem out, but I wasn't sure which way is "loosen".  The Clymer manual didn't offer any suggestions.

Thanks,
Dave

Gotta loosen the big nut, then turn the stem.
