Question on rough running after rejetting.
12/16/07 at 00:55:59

My son's 98 Savage has been rejetted to accomodate his Sportster muffler. (It was done by the stealer because I didn't know anything about bikes)

Whenever he rides in weather cooler than 60 degrees, it runs VERY rough, backfires, and even spits out flames when he lets off the gas.  When it's about 65 degrees, it's fine!!!  He can't let off the gas at stoplights or it will putter out.  When he's ridden it at high speeds (65-70 mph) for about 10 minutes, it's fine too.

What the heck?? Angry Angry

When I'm on the VTX, I'm a smooth operator but when I ride the Savage, I'm back to the basics!!! (and loving it!)

No, that's when it gives him major problems.  Anything over 60 is fine.
