My "07" comes with a #155 main according to the Suzuki manual so I didn't replace it.
I think the clymer manual says #145 but it only goes up to 04 and my bike is an 06. Is that manual for an 07 only or does it mention the jet size for an 06?
Does anyone know for sure what size is in an 06?

Thanks, Bill. That should be my answer unless your bike was made for CA. It wasn't was it?

Of course, hard to read more than one sentence.
Maybe if you weren't so lazy and whiny, you'd have realized that your carb is not any different than any other non-CA model.
You might have read this "hard to find" topic in the Tech section, too.

It wasn't that hard to find. It didn't help any either. It doesn't mention the jet size for anything after 04.
T140V said his is a #155 and his bike is an 07.
It doesn't mention the size of those screws either. The tech section needs updating.
Just making sure Bill67 didn't get his bike from CA.
Thanks a lot to the people that helped. Hey... That Greg guy is an A$$ Hole.
If he wasn't going to help he really should have kept his mouth shut.

From my experience the jet size for CA models is the SAME as non CA models. I performed the carb mods on my original stock 2003 CA model and found the original jet to be a 145. The carb specs in the tech section and the data in the Suzuki manual contradict my finding and show the jet size is smaller for CA carbs. Just curious, has anyone else on the forum opened up a stock CA model carb and noted the jet size??

Come on guys, No name calling. Greg probably forgot more about the Savage than we'll ever know. That doesn't mean that you can't teach an old dog (no pun intended
) a new trick. Stay open-minded. Just put in a 152.5 jet and they'll all run fine.

So lazy and runs off at the mouth, I guess we’ll wait for the vast contributions.

155 certainly isn't stock.
Volenteering?
Yes, Greg says what he thinks and has very little tolerance for people wanting it handed to them with a pretty little bow on it. Shoot, I got one his footprints during a mental lapse too. So where it proudly.

I`m gonna say about a `56 Matchless G80, judging by the jampot shocks and the alloy everywhere...much like an AJS...a classic thumper. But I could be wrong.
Don`t we just love the Holiday spirit? Brings out the best in all of us. Shoulda heard all the Grumpy Ol` Men beotching about the Gumint after we wiped out the bird.

joeh100; My manual is for an "06" but I gave you what it says is the "87" model with a #155 main. Sorry for the confusion it's a #145 main in 2006. The dealer didn't have an "07" manual at the time. I guess that's why my bike runs OK and not perfect. I think I'll buy a bigger main now.
