I've already searched and read the tech section and it tells me how to do the mod.  That is great, but I can't find the size of those darn screws on the search.

Your going to make me pull the carb, bugger the screws and then have to go to the store and match them aren't you.  I have to go a long way to get stuff like that, and I may have already downed a beer or 2 before I leave.  Do you guys want me out drinking and driving?  It would be nice to already have it on hand.  Can't someone just give me a hint where to look.

I'm still not clear on where to get the different size spacers either, I did find the dynojet kit but I didn't see any spacers in it.  If you could add this stuff to the tech section it would be nice.

SavageGreg, I was just kidding.  I'm really not all that lazy.  But I don't think it would hurt someone to come over and turn the wrench for me.

If you guys don't want to help, that's fine.  I'm going to figure out how to add that missing cylinder to my bike.  If you see me riding around on my V-twin 1300 Savage don't bother asking me how to do the "Double Cylinder Mod", because I'm not telling.

I'm going to do a full write up on the procedure with pictures and everything.  Then I'm going to bury it.  Bury it with a shovel.  Then bury the shovel.  When you ask me where it is, I'm going to tell you to search for it.

Hi Joeh100- welcome to the madness.  Its not that we don't want to help, it's just that full cabin fever hasn't set in accross the land.  Not to question your goal too much, but making a twin by mating two singles sounds like fun but doesn't it get away from the simplicity of the single, or does it just double the simplicity.  To much eggnogg already to figure this one out. Cheesy

I  tried to  post an hour ago, but my ISP is having the outs again!

The little screws in top of carb are 5mm x .8 x 10 or 12mm long.  I buggered up two of mine due to not having a proper phillips head for my little hammer impact tool.  The socket head cap screws would be the easiest to install and remove, but hard to find in chrome, maybe stainless, but be careful and don't over tighten.

The 152.5 main is a huge improvement, I also just removed about half the thickness of the little plastic washer on the needle.  Much better throttle response from  blipping.

I removed the plug with a little 1/8" drill and a sheetrock screw popped it right out.

Gonna take alot more than that to show up any of us "grumpy old men".  Some day, you might be just as good.

At least you're learning, and that was the whole point.

PS - there is a topic that will teach you how to post your images too.

Diaphragm screw's are M5 x 10 pitch , size .8
Hold down screws that hold the needle in are
M3 x 6 pitch size .5 an impact driver is required for removal of all screw's.
I suggest socket head cap screw's {Allen Head} so it will be easier to pull apart next time.
3/16Th's" drill for the plug and it will drill out fast so be careful.
I removed the spacer all together and it runs really good. I think you'll be OK with the results and it won't cost you but a few dollars at the hardware store. My "07" comes with a #145 main { I modified this part of the post for corrections}according to the Suzuki manual and I didn't replace it.
When you pull the tank off give it a good tug backwards and undo the wire to the relay just under the tank. Prop the tank up with a piece of wood  then loosen the clamps on the crab if you can't get to the cover screw's properly. That way you can line them up with the impact driver. I can't tell you what size Phillips head to use but make sure it fills in the cross on top of the screw's.
When I removed the hold down screw's for the needle I use a 3"x1/4" extension with a socket that held the Phillips screw driver head. I then held the slider upside down and tapped the driver on the floor to get the screw's out. You have to hold it very straight in your hand and protect the aluminum slider from getting dinged up. They came out really easy with just a light tap even though I had already chewed them up with a screwdriver.
I  hope that answers all your questions joeh100. It should be fun .

All you newbies don't let Greg bother you,He is one of the biggest helps on this site, very smart about bikes. It's just everytime a newbie comes on here they ask the same questions. Most are very simply answered by looking in the tech section. The first thing you need to do after buying your bike is buy a manual.Clymer's whatever it will answer alot of questions. If you try something and get stuck there are alot of smart people willing to help you here.In short there is help but you have to try to help yourself.Kinda like life. Wink

Thanks T140V.  This should really be added to the tech section.  I never found it by searching.

Listen, I know the routine.  I visit some boards where I am the expert.  If I don't want to answer something I just don't answer.  I don't write an essay telling someone to search and give them hints, or tease them.  You could hurt someone's feelings if your not careful.

Anytime someone says what someone doesn't want to hear, it becomes something else.  It can be the absolute truth, but if it isn't sweetened with a heavy layer of PC, it becomes an essay or a tirade or a rant or a lecture.  That's the standard liberal protocol

Hints?  There is nothing wrong with making someone think.  I'm not gonna sp00n feed anyone and this isn't a nursery.
