quick oil leak Q

I took the drivers pegs off 2 work on the floor boards. in order to do that you have to remove the right side peg mount base(at least i did). i removed the nuts that hold the thing on. took what i needed to do the mock-up. so i left the nuts off for about a week and BAM there's oil.

At this point i'm   Angry. and start looking in all the wrong places and i just cant see how this bike has just over 1K miles on it and leaking oil. WTF!

So now i'm worried about the oil and not the floorboards so time runs out i put everything back together move the bike the its normal spot away from the oil stain. AND BAM. no more oil.  Grin

Someone tell me this. I found the oil coming from the lower of the 2 engine mount bolts on the left side.
Is that supposed the happen? Is oil supposed to come out of that hole when the bolt is loose or out?

Yes that bolt also holds the cases together.

There are bolts there that squeeeeze the case halves together. When you put them back, the oil leak oughta stop..

I agree with Justin.  That's normal.  The leak will stop.

Yep, fix it last week per Justin's directions.  Worked great.
