BTW, the speedo being off is the reason I indicate 1oo mph with a passenger, I believe.  I think my speedo is optimistic.

The chain conversion makes the speedo indicate less than the actual MPH.  So, you were actually going over 100 MPH Tongue

Rather than start a whole new thread... I just pulled the trigger on the necessary gear to do the chain conversion. \m/ Cool \m/ Going with the 16/43 to start.
