The words "noise and sound" are difficult to figure out. Is it a squeal, a rattle, a thump, a vibration...(you get the picture)?
Does it make this noise at about the same RPM in each gear?
Does it seem like it comes from the left side?
Check to see if the upper belt guard is making contact with the front pulley cover on the engine. Check it with someone sitting on the bike to compress the shocks a little. Often a slight bit of misalignment can cause these 2 parts to vibrate together.
If it looks like it might be at this place, wedge a small piece of paper in it and take a test ride. If that fixes it then you know you need to adjust the belt guard a bit....
(Oh yeah, have you by any chance removed the front pulley cover recently? If not then just forget this question.)
