Snap the Head Cover Cap
10/02/07 at 20:53:51
Was going to check the plug and while I was pulling back the head cover cap (have the back bolt removed mod), it broke in two . Must have been binding on the tank and/or I pulled it back to much.
Anyway, I see one for an 87 on ebay. Mine is a 95 so I'm wondering if anyone knows if it will work? Also will it hurt to ride it (temporarily) without it?
Thanks for the help.

Toss it..and while you're at it, toss the one on the other side too. Useless, cosmetic cr*p...I tossed mine the first day I bought the bike. Looks better without it, if you ask me.

But..but..but.... it's CHROME
Thanks! That's what I really need know, whether it was optional or not. Now if I want to replace it I can wait to do it some other day.

Yeah, I did the same thing, I snapped the cover. Like it better without them anyway, kinda looks like a knucklehead without those things.
