Rejet with new pipes???

I am thinking about putting the Harley dyna exhaust on the 2001 Savage we just bought.  Any thoughts as to whether I'll have to rejet it????  Has anyone else done this???

freespirit,

You're absolutely correct.

I installed a Dyna ( baffled ) muffler a couple months ago and my bike runs great without rejetting.

Want to add , it sounds excellent, not too loud, not to quiet  Wink

Thanks for the replies - looks like we're going to go with that exhaust.  Appears to be a good fit at a decent price.

JMHO. The Dyna muff flows more freely. You must balance the trilogy of intake, exhaust and spark. Depending on your elevation you may want to go up a jet or two on the pilot and shave the spacer. A desnorkel may be called for as well.

Opportunities multiply as they are seized.
No spacer,60 pilot jet, 155 main jet, plug door, sportster muffler, k&n drop in, iridium plug, brake pedal mod,de-badged, Dunlops, bullet turn signals.

I bought the dyna muff and now have flames that shoot out and the back fire is still there...flames arent bad enough to catch anything on fire but you can see it good at night....may still have to rejet, I think I am going to have to.
