Bike stalled
09/25/07 at 09:06:31

Ok, I'm coming home from work last week and was just cruising about 70mph and then my bike just stalls on me. I had plenty of gas and this is the first time it ever did this to me.  Pulled over and restarted the bike and off I went. I was just wondering what possible reason for this. Any suggestions?

Did you pull the clutch & let off the gas before it died or were you rolling, throttle on?

Read the petcork issues, I think this may be your problem.

WOT? uphill? This is when it happened to me.

check you vac line for leaks, air or fuel.

If you run into this prob again, which to prime.  If ok then most likely issue is with petcork.  I think the vac at 3/4 throttle and above is marginal.  If there's a air leak, then the petcork shuts off and as soon as you go thru a bowl full of fuel... silence will ensue.
