why don't you just get a longer set of fork tubes?
Try forking by Frank on the seach bar.I can't remember what the web adress is.

4" over tubes for under $250 last I checked.
Mine handles great with 4" over legs on the stock frame and tree geometry. The fork brace helped stiffen up them a lot. YMMV
