Don't laugh...this is serious! My wifes bike will make a "meowing" sound after being turned off, it will go on for a couple of days while sitting in the garage then tapers off. Happens about every 20-30 minutes. It sounds like it's coming from the tank but I'm not 100% sure. Has anyone else seen or heard of this? The first fews times I heard it I thought one of our cats were stuck somewhere in the garage. I finally figured it out while working on mine...thought I was losing my mind. Strange!

I'm VERY sure it's the bike making the noise, sounds just like a cat. As stated above I'm pretty sure it's the tank venting.

Sounds like a cat wanting attention. every minute of so, had the neighbor rolling. didn't really notice it at first, cause our dam cat does the same thing and I've learned to tune it out. Yes pop the gas cap off and it quits.

I pulled the gas cap in favor of a standard vent to the atmosephere one as well as removed the vapor return hoses. The bike like it alot better when it can breathe easy..
