For typical cruising down the road, the 412 model will work great for you.  If you are in the 200+ lb range then consider the heavy duty spring version.
If you are going to build a sportier version of the Savage and want more capability then go with the 418 model.

about the shocks anyone about what spring rate the stock shocks are or what you need for new one i weight 165

The 11" Progressive 412's are a good choice.  I am using the 12.5" heavy duty 412's and like them a lot.  They do raise the bike quite a bit though.  I recommend the 11" versions if you want to maintain a similar height to the stock (which are 10.5").

The stock ones are 10.5" cause I was comparing them to the shocks on an Intruder that I was working on.  I think that Intruder shocks were close to 12"

i got the progressive 412 11 inch  with115  155 springs rides much better now what do you think would help the fork springs or diffenent weight oil
