1) get a gas can.
2) take fuel hose off carb (left side of carb), and put in gas can.  (May need soemthing to get can up to hose)
3) Turn petc0ck to PRI.
4) let drain all the way.

5) Optional: remove petc0ck to get last drops out.
6) Optional 2: also remove tank from bike and really really get out last drops.

STP fuel teatment helps disperse water but a product called DRI-Gas (or Dry-gas) works best.  It for northern climates, where the water freezes in the bottom of car gas tanks in the winter.

You may want to check the gasket on the fuel cap for a good seal.   Avoid spraying water directly on or around cap when washing bike.....

They make a tank cleaner the chemically removes the rust but I can't remember the name.   My friend uses it on his old Honda's.  Stuff he uses is an overnight thing that gets mixed with water.

You probably should take tank off bike for close inspection.  Rust can create pin holes after being cleaned.

I may try the tank cleaner I am not sure I dont want to end up with a hole in this tank.  Bike runs like a champ since I got some good gas in it.

I want to thank everyone in here for there very helpful info.  Without you guys I probly wouldnt have gotten it fixed.  THANKS AGAIN!!!

Put an inline fuel filter on your fuel line - especially if you have rust in the tank.
